Diary of a Murderer

This novel is a real page-turner, but it is difficult to fully understand because the story is told from the perspective of an unreliable narrator. The main character, Byeong-su, is a former serial killer who now suffers from Alzheimer's disease. Because of his illness, he becomes mentally confused and is unsure whether he has committed another murder. In the final chapter, it is unclear whether Byeong-su actually killed the woman he claims is his daughter. According to the news, she was only a caregiver helping him with his disease. Personally, I do not believe that Byeong-su killed his daughter. Instead, I think another character, possibly the police officer whom Byeong-su suspects, may have killed her.
